History
Ultimate
The first rule of Ultimate is Spirit of the Game.
We all know it, but sometimes we forget.
Here's the basics of the ultimate at Gender Blender.
It's 4/3 mixed (ie. Co-ed). The offence chooses whether to put on 3 or
4 women and the defence should match that number.
Please make sure you have enough people on your
roster to be able to match.
Games are hard capped at the end of your timeslot. That
means when your time is up, finish that point, and the game is over.
Only play one more point if teams are tied. This is the rule regardless
of when you start. Because games are held at several remote locations,
it is important for teams to be on time and to start on time, because
you're going to have to finish on time. Each timeslot is one hour and
fifteen minutes long - this means your game is that long if and only
if you start on time.

Our menu changes each year. We always try to provide
qualtiy vegetarian options. Here's a sample menu:

Parties
Friday night
You get to show off your blender talents by mixing
up a blender cocktail to share with other teams. Don't forget to bring
all
that you'll need to serve your featured creations
and host your neighbours (and that includes power connections and cords).
Remember there are
prizes including a trophy for best cocktail.
Saturday night
Saturday night is all about strutting your stuff
and showcasing your talent. The All-stars game
puts on a true display of the best players from
all the top teams. The Fastest competitions show
who has the raw speed to leave everyone else in
their dust. Finally, the Saturday Showcase is about
displaying your non-ultimate skills to an audience
of over 500 of the toughest critics. We'll have
more details up soon about what this year's Saturday
Showcase is going to be.
