The 2009 Gender Blender Photo Contest details are now online! We look foward to seeing what you saw! NEW!

Gender Blender will return for its 14th year of top notch ultimate, amazing outdoor fun, crazy activity, awesome food and of course... blenderific partying amongst the genders.

The Ultimate Experience looks forward to once again hosting one of the best tournaments on earth and hopes that you will help us spread the word!

The 2010 tourney will be taking place, once again, in Fergus Ontario. The dates are June 4th, 5th and 6th, so mark them on your calendar!

Look for more details online starting in January 2010 about about Gender Blender XIV, as that is when we will be doing the complete overhaul of this site and preparing it for Gender Blender XIV, including posting the key dates for bids, information about the event, photos and history from the past events, and a sneak peak at what we have in store for you.

We look forward to seeing you in Fergus!

BRIEF HISTORY
Gender Blender is the creation of Mark Evans and Dan Berman, who together thought up and nurtured the tournament from inception to a 40 team carnival throughout the opening seven years.

Starting in 1997 as an early development in competitive mixed ultimate, Gender Blender quickly developed a reputation as the essential start to a summer of ultimate in the Great Lakes area. Teams are attracted from as far afield as Denver, New York and Cincinnati.

Mark and Dan put in a great effort over their tenure and decided to hand over the reins to Karen, Dilhan and Giles in 2004. Due to the recent addition of Henry Hood Deshon, on the day before the tournament in 2006, Dilhan essentially ran the tournament on his own with the able assistance of our awesome band of volunteers. He reprised that role unexpectedly in 2007 when Giles suffered a major leg fracture on day 1 of the event and Karen and Giles had to return to Toronto.

The tourney now is under the direction of The Ultimate Experience. Blue and the rest of his team are very excited for the future of this event as they continue to expand the tourney to 50 teams in 2010.
